The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach sassa status check Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services position established for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to empower the servicing of all clients and boost usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
